About Vallee Johnson
"For The Love of Creation!"
I have been drawing and painting since I was about 3 (several decades ago).
I sold my first painting at the age of 13.
I've been dabbling with the camera for just about as long..
Art IS in the eye of the beholder.
Traditionally a realist, I've enjoyed dabbling in various other styles as well.
I have always been fascinated with wildlife and enjoy sculpting, painting or sketching animals of every kind.
I have a Certificate Degree in Production Art, Associate Degree in Liberal Arts
& Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
I've traveled to fourteen different countries and hope to visit many more.
In Italy, I studied the works of the great Renaissance artists...
as a child I began copying Leonardo and Michelangelo and others..
All I've ever really wanted to do is art, but until early retirement had a wide variety of occupations.
I've climbed telephone poles, made surfboards, deli clerked, taught & performed Mime & Juggling,
did various aspects of video production, worked with people with disabilities, and drove a school bus, to name just a few.
I volunteered my time to help found and create A.C.E. Arts Coalition of Erie,
a non-profit arts organization to encourage creativity and advance the Arts in my community.
My art is displayed internationally and has won various awards..
Now, with my children grown, (my husband and I have 9 kids and 24 grandchildren so far!)
I am able to concentrate on producing artwork
