The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I get these flowers to bloom a few times each summer and spend those evenings taking pictures from all angles. This is a Night Blooming Cereus cactus flower with an incredible scent. Each bloom opens for only one night! There is no special digital enhancement to this photo. I used a flashlight to get the lighting effect.
