The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I love to see moons and clouds and have taken hundreds of photographs. This apricot colored moon in April was a "Worm Moon" and it inspired me to paint this. I thought I was finished with it when the sunlight streaming through one of my skylights in my studio suggested I add the additional highlights.
